What We Do With Love

PROCLAMATION OF OUR SOUL

To Love.

To Be Love.

To Be Loved.

THE LOVE TRUST

Are We Worthy And Reliable Custodians?

Humankind – behaving badly as we tend to do – aloof with pompous disregard for the wanting heart of those loving us.

We’ve been screwing up this gig since the Original Sin.

And, every one following ever since.

ON GOOD DAYS

We Embody Love.

We are Love.

We Give in abundance.

Receive with humility, gratitude and grace.

Free of judgement and no expectations.

God Smiles.

ON BAD DAYS

We’re An Unlovable Tribe Of Nefarious, Self-Serving Malcontents …

Hellbent on marginalizing Love.

Rendering it down to a disposable, frivolous commodity.

“Espousing false virtues in professing our Love … for the benefit of self.”

We barter with it.

Manipulate.

Cheat.

Lie.

Hold it captive.

DO WE EVER GET LOVE RIGHT?

Yeah, no.

Here and there.

“Serendipity, when its in the mood.”

Every now and then.

When we surrender our Ego …

AND THIS

The Sanctity of Divine Love

Assaulted by Temptation.

Desire.

Lust.

Sin.

The Cult of Ego doing its thing.

Reconstituted through the Act of Repentance.

Repeat Cycle.

THE GOOD

Love Lives In Us All.

We’re born of Love.

Insatiable Love gluttons.

When its on the menu.

“People All Over The World … Join Hands … Start A Love Train …”

The O’Jays.

Come on, y’all.

THE BAD

We Monopolize Love Until Its Unrecognizable Fodder.

Complicate it.

Neuter it.

Abuse it.

Deny it.

Sell it.

THE MEH

We Trivialize Love.

In music, literature, film, media, art.

Valentine’s Day.

Silly Love Songs.

And, that’s perfectly okay.

Just us big kids trying to make sense of it all.

Also, here … shamelessly, inescapably inadequate … in a blog.

FATE

Omnipresent Reminder Of Love Inevitable.

“Love has everything to do with it.  Or, nothing at all.  There is no latitude to meddle in Love.”

Love doesn’t flounder, flip-flop, bandwagon.

THE LOVE WE SEEK

Finds Us.

Like a good book.

Or, a devoted dog.

Revealed when our hearts are open to receive and reciprocate.

LOVE UNKNOWABLE

Potential To Heal …

Comforting, nurturing, safe.

In Absence, To Hurt ….

Irrational, troubling, disjointed.

Untenable beyond fantasy.

TRUE LOVE

Once In A Lifetime.

A hopeless romantic may argue.

Our first and only.

I’m not convinced.

Love is a sneaky, stealthy perpetrator of our heart …

Creeping into our Soul.

Helpless we are.

FAUX LOVE & DEFLECTION

A Natural Defense To Protect From Hurt.

When Love eludes us we search, hope and pray for It.

Cry, mostly.

We settle for any version of it.

Accept it in any form tangible or intangible.

When its not real we make it present.

DOES LOVE DIE OR FADE AWAY?

It Hibernates.

Lays dormant to be awaken and stirred by fate.

Availability of the Heart invites Love to nest.

“An unreasonable facsimile – Dirty Love – is what we get when we’re dishonest with ourselves.”

FUN FACT CONFESSION

It Ain’t Easy Living With A Heart Quieted …

By hurt, rejection, betrayal, and delusion of past relationships.

Of guilt and shame.

Of Love Lost.

Self Love we deny.

Cruel penance to pay for Fate.

Karma’s deal.

THE POMPATUS OF LOVE

Steve Miller Spoke Of It In ‘The Joker’ …

The Space Cowboy.

Gangster of Love.

Maurice.

LOVE RECYCLED

Green Love?

Love doesn’t require work.

We do.

“Love needs Love.”
