Postcard From Peace

DEAR FATHER

Let’s Not Make A Big Deal About This …

Saturday Morning.  Me In My Happy Little Place.  How Wonderful This Miracle You’ve Given.

Where I Am.  Being My Am.  Your Am.

Blessed By Your Grace.

IDYLLIC SILENCE

I Should Probably Stop Here … I’ve Said Too Much …

Knowing I run the risk of spoiling It and Am with mortal words of insignificant mumble jumble.

Giddy in Reflective Beautiful Thought.  How I’m feeling about Being.  You know the Old Adage:

“If One Can’t Improve On Silence … One Should Be Quiet.”

DESTINATION BEYOND CHAOS

Making Sense Of It …

Perhaps, I’ve arrived at the Destination along the Journey.

Or, is this just a lovely detour sanctioned by Fate?

… Heck, I Could Be There – Here – Now … None Of It Looks Familiar Or How I Imagined.

“HEY, IS THIS HEAVEN?”

Shoeless Joe.  Field Of Dreams.  Ray Kinsella.

“No, It’s Iowa.”

Could be Home.

… Or, At Peace.

NO FEAR OF LIVING

We’ve Been Through That, Father …

Together and Apart.

I was never alone when I was alone

… With You.

NO FEAR OF DYING

Okay, The Timing Isn’t Perfect … I Know It’ll Come … Now, If You Ever Feel Like Procrastinating On My Ultimate Fate, I’m Good With Later …

We should talk – There’s Still Much To Do About Everything – some details I need help with.

I Know This Isn’t The End Of The Line.  I figured that out when I pulled up my Big Boy Faith Pants.  It’s been a great fit though a bit tight in the waist of late.

… But, A Conduit To An Eternal Stream In Paradise.

PLEASE DON’T MAKE THIS PERFECT DAY MY LAST

Not Today … Not Today … Not Today …

Lord, Just Another Day

And A Bunch of Bunches More, Dear Father.

Mercy.  Love.  Worship.

PRECIOUS MOMENT

My Boys Are Coming Over For Breakfast Later This Morning …

It’s A Thing We Do, Like We Used To Do.

Not nearly enough now.

… But Enough To Fill My Heart.

I CAN’T PROMISE

I Will Not Sin Again …

That would be a lie.

I’m Giving Thanks To You …

… For The Peace Within Is My Blessing.

  1. Prior...

came here from Janet’s recent post – and I am a little confused as to what this post is – are the words in the header God speaking? Are they little snippets of postcards? Either way – some good stuff here
